3. Recipient Has Switched Carriers

The old number you were attempting to message might have been deactivated and is no longer part of the network, rendering the message’s destination address invalid. In this situation:
- Reach out to the recipient through alternative means that do not require their phone number, such as social media direct messages or email.
4. Disconnect and Reconnect to the Mobile Network

- Disconnect and reconnect to your current mobile network. Android and iOS do not offer a direct option for this, so follow these steps:
For Android:
- Open the Settings app.

- Select Mobile Networks.

- Wait for the change to occur, monitoring the top right of your phone screen for the network switch.

- Use a paperclip bent into the hole to remove the SIM tray.

- Wait for 1-2 minutes before placing the SIM card back on its tray, ensuring proper alignment.
- Reinsert the tray into the phone.
- Restart your phone.
- After your phone fully boots up, attempt to resend the message that previously couldn’t be delivered to the recipient.
6. Activate and Deactivate Airplane Mode
Airplane mode temporarily disables all wireless networks on your phone to avoid interference with airplane equipment. Activating and deactivating this mode can perform a soft reset on your network. Follow these steps:
For Android:
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to Connections/Networks & Wireless.
- Enable Airplane mode (some phones may call it Flight mode).
- Wait for a minute, then disable Airplane mode.
For iOS:
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the Control Center (on iPhone X and newer, swipe down from the top-right corner).
- Tap the airplane symbol to enable Airplane mode.
- After waiting for a minute or so, tap the Airplane symbol again to disable Airplane mode.
7. Clear the Cache
Every app uses a cache to store frequently accessed data, and your messaging app may have stored an incorrect recipient address, leading to the error. Clearing the cache can resolve this issue:
